Mary McGrath serves as Executive Vice President.  A Certified Financial Planner, Mary has provided our clients sound financial advice for more than two decades.  Her primary focus is retirement and estate planning for high net worth individuals, including professionals, physicians, retirees, widows and divorcees.   Through consistent effort and outstanding service, Mary has build a solid base of satisfied clients. She is also a registered representative with M Holdings Securities, Inc.

Mary graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois with a  Bachelor’s Degree in accounting.  She received a national honor for scoring in the top 1/10 of 1 percent on the exam for certified public accountants and was a tax partner in a national accounting firm before joining Cozad in 1985. Mary’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of CPAs, the Estate Planning Council, the Executive Club of Champaign County and the Financial Planning Association.

In 1998 and 1999, Worth magazine named Mary one of the “300 Best Financial Advisors in the Country.”  Again in 2001 and 2002,  the same magazine listed her as one of the “Best 250 Advisors in the Country.”   Beginning in 1998, Medical Economics has named Mary “One of the Best Financial Advisors for Physicians” on five separate occasions.   Both magazines base their designation on the advisor’s education, experience, accomplishments, practice size and scope, clientele and compensation methods. 

Mary is frequently quoted in the national media and has spoken nationally to such groups as the American Association of Physician Executives and the Orthopaedic Research & Education Foundation.  She also wrote the chapter, “Rehabilitate Your Financial Plan,” in the book, Wealth Strategies for Doctors.
