
David P. Wetherell, MSF
Portfolio Manager
David is the lead portfolio manager for our Small-Cap Value composite. He monitors the composite’s performance and risk exposures and manages the rebalancing process, including the collection and statistical analysis of data and the allocation of individual security weights. Additionally, David is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) is maintained. He is a member of our Investment Committee.
David received his Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois where he focused on asset management and valuation. He has successfully completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) program and is charter pending. He is licensed by FINRA as a registered representative of M Securities Holdings, Inc.
As a member of our armed forces since Dec 2000, David is currently training to be the Budget Officer for the 183rd Air Operations Group, Air Support Squadron, in service to our country and state in the Illinois Air National Guard. Prior to September 2009, he served as a Platoon Sergeant for the 1544th Transportation Co, in the Army NG. His service includes a tour of duty where he served as a convoy commander with the mission of providing convoy security in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Within the community, David serves on the board of the Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation as a member of the finance committee and co-chair of fund development. He is actively involved with United Way and also serves on the board of their Emerging Community Leaders program.
